Project funding has been requested in November 2009 at the Call for applications under the Budget line: National Programme for Croatia under the IPA Transition Assistance and Institution Building Component r 2008. Reference:EuropeAid/128948/M/ACT/HR. The grant has been preliminary approved in August 2010, and finally approved in December 2010. The Project CENEP has officially started by signing of the contract on 18th of February 2011.
The overall objective is to support the development of structured dialogue and formalised counselling between Croatian Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and public authorities in development, monitoring and evaluation of the national policies in the field of energy efficiency. The specific goal is to develop a socially responsible national policy in the field of energy efficiency through public consultations and discussions.
The primary target groups are the public authorities relevant for energy matters and CSOs active in the field of energy.
The secondary target groups are the local governments and CSOs active in the field of environmental protection and social matters, energy advisers, experts and interested individuals together with media.
The end users of the project outcomes are the energy users (buyers), other public authorities and other CSOs, local communities and overall Croatian public.
